On Tuesday, March 14, I was asked to participate in a panel discussion at the MOSAIC symposium hosted by the Atlanta Hawks. The invitation was a complete surprise and one that I was thankful to receive from Nzinga Shaw, the Chief Diversity and Inclusion Officer at the Atlanta Hawks. She told me I’d be on a panel with several current and former pro athletes. Not intimidating at all. Nope. I was sure the audience wanted to hear about anti-sexual violence while eating their breakfast.

That last sentence was a complete fabrication.

Anyhow, here is the full video of the panel.

And here is the local paper’s coverage of the event complete with a panel photo where I look like a peanut in comparison to the rest of the speakers.

Beware of putting a microphone in my hand.

Needless to say, the event was a wonderful experience for me, one that brought many people into my life that I would never have met. I am so grateful for Nzinga and for the opportunity she provided me. And I am going to build off of it for sure.
