Sharing here a powerful moment from earlier today when my colleague, Laura Rutledge, spoke on Get Up! on ESPN about what is coming to light regarding what Urban Meyer – and his wife – did or didn’t know about his assistant coach’s violent behavior toward his wife. Laura is conscientious and whip smart, dedicated and measured. We spoke last night about some of the ways to approach this topic that were victim-centered – that made sure to not just dissect what domestic violence means for a coach’s future, but what it means and has meant for the victim:

USA Today highlighted her excellence soon after, and she deserves all the applause and the credit. I’m proud to know her.
